About The Position

The Data Analyst supports the maintenance and accuracy of data within Wealthspire systems. This entry-level role is designed for someone early in their analytics career who is eager to learn modern data practices, develop technical skills, and contribute to data quality, reporting, and operational efficiency. The Data Analyst will work closely with a collaborative Information Technology team and business partners while receiving guidance and mentorship.

Requirements

  • Basic familiarity with the Microsoft O365 environment.
  • Introductory knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform or strong interest in learning data integration and automation tools.
  • Exposure to data analytics concepts and an interest in AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships, co-ops, or academic projects acceptable); experience in financial services is a plus but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds as needed; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with both technical and non-technical partners.
  • Eagerness to learn, take feedback, and grow technical and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain basic reports and dashboards in Power BI under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Help prepare and organize datasets for reporting, analytics, and emerging AI use cases.
  • Collaborate with senior analysts, data engineers, and AI teams to understand data requirements and assist in assembling datasets for analysis and testing.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and validate data outputs.
  • Perform basic data analysis to identify trends, inconsistencies, or data quality issues.
  • Document data definitions, processes, and updates to support transparency and repeatability.
  • Provide support on IT and data-related projects as assigned.
  • Support proper data classification and help maintain integrations with downstream systems and internal data repositories.
  • Participate in occasional business travel, up to approximately 5%, for training, meetings, or company events as required.
