About The Position

The Wheatley Institute is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will help support data-driven research and decision-making by collecting, organizing, analyzing, and visualizing data. This position offers an excellent opportunity to launch a career in data analytics while gaining hands-on experience working with real-world datasets and meaningful research projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Basic knowledge of data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, SPSS, and Stata
• Familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
• Good writing and presentation skills

Nice To Haves

• Project experience in data analysis
• Understanding of statistical concepts and data modeling
• Experience with data cleaning and preprocessing techniques
• Experience creating data figures and graphs

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and analyze data from various sources
• Clean and validate data to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends and insights
• Assist in writing research briefs and reports, including figures, graphs, and visualizations.
• Assist in developing and maintaining databases and data systems
• Present findings in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders
