About The Position

GovCIO is hiring a Data Analyst to support program management, data analytics, dashboard development, and reporting for the Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The role works with officers and contractors to connect reporting and analytics, tasking responses, and information in support of the ICE mission. The position directly supports the San Antonio Field Office on-site as it works to integrate processes and improve the efficiency of law enforcement initiatives. The Data Analyst examines ICE mission data and processes, develops dashboards and reporting tools, supports stakeholder requests, assesses project and business-process effectiveness, and turns complex information into clear written narratives and visual presentations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 3 or more years of experience in dynamic customer delivery environments, or commensurate experience.
Ability to attain and maintain DHS clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

Analyze ICE-specific mission data, processes, field operations, strategic planning, and mission systems.
Develop analytics dashboards, tools, and templates to improve the collection and analysis of field metrics.
Use Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and Access to visualize data sets.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, scrum teams, and project managers to collect and compile information for timely responses and ad hoc assignments.
Facilitate understanding of client needs, issues, and challenges; perform gap analyses and recommend solutions.
Use source data to assess the effectiveness of projects and business processes.
Develop, gather, and disseminate information and documentation to business and technical customers.
Analyze changes in requirements with team members and recommend timely, efficient solutions.
Translate complicated issues from multiple information sources into clear, concise written narratives.
Develop meeting agendas and presentations that synthesize complex information into succinct visualizations, using tools such as PowerPoint.
