About The Position

As a Data Analyst within Apex Tax & Cost Basis, you will be responsible for analyzing data processes, solving complex problems, documenting procedures, ensuring data quality, and contributing to the improvement and automation of workflows. You will play a critical role in enhancing the team's efficiency and delivering data-driven insights.

Requirements

1–3 years of experience in data analysis.
Advanced SQL skills.
Exceptional analytical skills.
Detail-oriented problem solver.
Ability to adapt on-the-fly in a rapidly changing environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to think outside the box.
Understanding of the financial services industry, particularly cost basis and tax reporting.

Nice To Haves

Experience with APIs and Claude AI is a plus.

Responsibilities

Utilize advanced SQL and Claude AI skills to support the Tax & Cost Basis Operation teams.
Evaluate data flows to identify areas for improvement and assist in the development and implementation of solutions.
Ensure that solutions align with business needs and requirements.
Analyze data trends and prepare reports with actionable recommendations for management.
Develop, maintain, and enhance reporting to measure performance and support business decisions.
Conduct software and data quality testing, ensuring end-to-end processes achieve the desired outcomes.
Update and implement written procedures for operational tasks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Operations, and Development) to address data-related needs.
Contribute to the development of automated workflows to streamline processes and reduce manual interventions.
