About The Position

This is a build-and-own role focused on converting business logic into technical solutions. Partnering closely with supply planners and inventory managers, who provide subject matter expertise, the role is responsible for developing, documenting, and maintaining scalable systems that enable efficient data management and operational decision-making.

Requirements

  • Familiar with data and statistical programming languages (such as SQL, SAS, R, and Python).
  • Basic programming skills.
  • Ability to interpret an existing script of moderate complexity.
  • Bachelor’s degree (± 16 years) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Data Science or similar discipline including Databases, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Engineering is preferred.
  • Work experience with degree; or sufficient transferable experience to demonstrate functional equivalence to a degree.
  • Training using mathematical modeling and statistical analysis
  • Basic experience of database applications
  • Basic knowledge of several tools (such as SAS, R or Python, SQL)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a regulated industry (medtech, pharma, or similar) where data governance and traceability matter
  • Prior experience/education in life sciences or healthcare preferred

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain Lakehouse tables in Microsoft Fabric for master and operational data, creating scalable and reusable data structures that support supply chain planning and execution.
  • Build and maintain automated Data Factory pipelines to collect, transform, and refresh data on a defined schedule, reducing manual reporting and data reconciliation efforts.
  • Develop and maintain datasets that support analysis of supply chain performance, inventory health, service levels, and other operational metrics.
  • Create Power BI dashboards, reports, heatmaps, and exception views that provide planners with clear, actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Monitor and maintain data pipelines and workflows to ensure reliable data availability and system performance.
  • Support data quality initiatives by validating data and helping ensure the accuracy and consistency of supply chain information.
  • Follow data security, governance, compliance, and data management standards to protect and maintain the integrity of business data.
  • Stay current on data engineering, analytics, and supply chain data management best practices, applying new tools and approaches where appropriate.
  • Partner closely with Supply Planners and Inventory Managers to understand business priorities, requirements, and planning logic, and translate them into effective data solutions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify opportunities, share ideas, and develop solutions that improve supply chain planning and operations.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, escalating concerns when appropriate.
  • Contribute effectively in a collaborative, results-oriented team environment.
  • Conducts data acquisition from relational databases, flat files, ERP platforms, and operational systems.
  • Supports the development of datasets used for inventory optimization, forecasting, logistics performance analysis, and operational reporting.
