About The Position

The Data Analyst Intern at Partners for HOME is integral to enhancing effectiveness and strategic decision-making within the organization through expert data management and analysis. This role is tailored for a dynamic, technically skilled individual who thrives on turning complex data into actionable insights. Responsibilities include conducting thorough data analysis to inform planning and performance evaluations, creating advanced reporting templates, and delivering compelling data visualizations and narratives that support all levels of the Continuum of Care (CoC). The Data Analyst will also provide crucial training to HMIS users, ensuring they are proficient in utilizing reports and visualizations effectively. This position is crucial for driving evidence-based strategies and improvements, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility, and supporting the organization's mission through meticulous data oversight and innovative research solutions. The selected candidate will work up to 20 hours a week for 3 months.

Requirements

  • High energy and a passion for the CoC’s mission and goals
  • Experience in data visualization software and dashboard software
  • Statistical analysis software experience
  • GIS software experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines
  • Superb organizational skills, with the proven ability to create and implement efficient development systems, plan strategically, allocate work, set, and manage objectives, analyze and mitigate risk, and create and manage projects
  • Ability to excel in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, diverse, results-oriented environment, and to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines

Responsibilities

  • conducting thorough data analysis to inform planning and performance evaluations
  • creating advanced reporting templates
  • delivering compelling data visualizations and narratives that support all levels of the Continuum of Care (CoC)
  • Provide crucial training to HMIS users, ensuring they are proficient in utilizing reports and visualizations effectively
  • Conduct data analysis to support planning, performance, and evaluation
  • Provide reports at all levels of the CoC (as needed)
  • Create, publish, and provide narrative interpretation for data visualization
  • Create and maintain front-end development of advanced report templates and custom reports in HMIS
  • Provide training to HMIS users related to reports and visualizations created
  • Stay up to date on program requirements and changes
