This position is hybrid with (currently) two in-office days per week in Austin. Applicants from outside Texas must be willing to relocate within 30 days of hire. Data Analyst III (DA III) position performs moderately complex (journey-level) data collection, reporting and analysis to monitor, evaluate, and increase efficiencies for Acute Care related services. Work involves conducting detailed analysis of and extensive research on data, used for fiscal estimates and deliverables. Prepares concise, comprehensive technical reports to present and interpret data, identify alternatives, and make and justify recommendations on data revisions. Assists in defining, developing, implementing data standards, developing data quality measures, analyzing data quality results, and implementing necessary changes to ensure data quality improvement. May establish and maintain standard work procedures governing the appropriate use of data, develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. May provide guidance to others. The DAIII works with various teams to explore different aspects of a system (people, policy, and processes) to determine why particular areas are performing well or have opportunities for improvement. Identifies and interprets data patterns and trends and assesses data quality. Works under general supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
