About The Position

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst II – Merchandising Analytics to join the Tailored Brands Enterprise Analytics team. You will serve as a vital role as a “data detective” investigating trends underlying KPIs to uncover the "why" behind performance. Collaborating with buying, planning, and promotional teams, you will go beyond retrospective reporting to identify who is impacted and what it means for our future. Your proactive, forward-looking insights will guide, monitor, and measure key merchandising and planning strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, business, merchandising, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years career experience in a similar role
  • SQL: Proficiency in querying databases for data extraction is required.
  • Data Visualization: Experience visualizing insights in enterprise Business Intelligence tools effectively is required, preferably in Power BI.
  • AI Tools: Ability to use tools (such as CoPilot and Glean) to amplify, but not replace thinking, in work is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Python/R: Proficiency in scripting data manipulation and modeling for analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Dive deep into sales, inventory, and customer data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
  • Create clear, concise, and insightful reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Provide insights to help develop and execute seasonal and annual merchandise buying plans.
  • Collaborate with planning and visual merchandising teams to optimize product placement and availability.
  • Analyze pricing strategies and elasticities to provide recommendations for adjustments.
  • Evaluate the impact of promotions on sales and customer behavior.
  • Analyze market trends to identify new opportunities for increasing sales.
  • Use statistical models to create forward-looking prediction models.
  • Present analyses in a clear, interpretable, and applicable way that can be shared widely, communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical partners.
