About The Position

Scale Media is seeking a mid-level Data Analyst, referred to as a "Data Detective," to join their Analytics team. This role is crucial for understanding the core business operations and marketing efforts, acting as a critical partner to the Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Brand Marketing teams. The Data Analyst will be responsible for owning the data related to Inventory, Customer Service performance, and Brand Strategy. The ideal candidate will be versatile and understand ERP platforms (like Odoo), ticketing platforms for Customer Service, and the strategic planning required for a marketing-driven Brand team.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of specific Data Analysis experience.
  • Proven experience in DTC E-commerce is required.
  • Fluent in Shopify and Amazon Seller Central data schemas.
  • Strong proficiency with Snowflake (SQL).
  • Experience building robust dashboards and workbooks in Sigma.
  • Competency in KNIME or dbt is preferred, or experience with Alteryx, Prep, or Python.
  • Awareness of how ELT tools function (e.g., Hevo, Fivetran, Airbyte, Azure).
  • Deeply versed in ecommerce data schemas and Customer Service ticketing platforms.
  • Experience supporting marketing or brand teams with performance analytics, targeting metrics, and tracking new product launch success.
  • Hands-on experience conducting inventory forecasting, PO timing predictions, and supply chain metric tracking.
  • Comfortable analyzing supply chain metrics (turnover ratios, lead times) and marketing metrics (conversion rates, promotion ROI).
  • Ability to trace a product's lifecycle from warehouse to customer and analyze marketing strategies and customer service interactions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Odoo ERP platform.
  • Experience with Zendesk or Gorgias ticketing platforms.
  • Adaptability to learn and use tools like Alteryx, Tableau Prep, or Python/Pandas if not already proficient in KNIME or dbt.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain models for predictive forecasting of inventory depletion rates and recommend optimal times for Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Ingest, clean, and analyze complex datasets from ERP systems (Odoo) for granular insights on stock levels, lead times, and fulfillment efficiency.
  • Track and report on core inventory management metrics to prevent stockouts, reduce overstock, and optimize cash flow.
  • Analyze the ROI of promotions, targeted campaigns, and brand initiatives, and help understand customer resonance with messaging and branding.
  • Support new product launches by providing historical data analysis, forecasting demand, and tracking early performance metrics.
  • Provide actionable data for audience segmentation, market positioning, and long-term marketing strategy.
  • Analyze data from Customer Service platforms to track contact rates, ticket resolution times, and customer satisfaction (CSAT) scores.
  • Identify customer experience friction points by connecting CS ticket data with fulfillment and inventory metrics.
  • Perform the "last mile" of data preparation using tools like KNIME or dbt to clean, merge, and format data for analysis.
  • Write efficient SQL to transform raw data in Snowflake into usable datasets reflecting business rules.
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards in Sigma, translating complex SQL queries into visual stories for stakeholders.
