About The Position

Scale Media is seeking a mid-level Data Analyst, referred to as a "Data Detective," to join their Analytics team. This role is crucial for understanding and reporting on business operations and marketing efforts. The Data Analyst will act as a partner to the Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Brand Marketing teams, owning the data related to inventory, customer service performance, and brand strategy. The ideal candidate will be versatile and understand ERP platforms (like Odoo), ticketing platforms, and the strategic planning for marketing teams. The role involves predictive forecasting for inventory, analyzing marketing campaign ROI, supporting new product launches, tracking customer service metrics, and preparing/visualizing data using tools like KNIME, dbt, SQL, and Sigma.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of specific Data Analysis experience.
  • Proven experience in DTC E-commerce.
  • Fluent in Shopify and Amazon Seller Central data schemas.
  • Strong proficiency with Snowflake (SQL).
  • Strong proficiency with Sigma (building robust dashboards and workbooks).
  • Competency in KNIME or dbt is preferred, but candidates experienced with Alteryx, Prep, or Python who can adapt quickly are welcome.
  • Awareness of how ELT tools function (e.g., Hevo, Fivetran, Airbyte, Azure).
  • Deeply versed in e-commerce data schemas and Customer Service ticketing platforms.
  • Experience supporting marketing or brand teams with performance analytics, targeting metrics, and tracking new product launch success.
  • Hands-on experience conducting inventory forecasting, PO timing predictions, and supply chain metric tracking.
  • Comfortable analyzing both supply chain metrics (turnover ratios, lead times) and marketing metrics (conversion rates, promotion ROI).
  • Patience and precision to trace a product's lifecycle and analyze marketing strategies and customer service interactions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Odoo ERP platform.
  • Experience with Zendesk or Gorgias ticketing platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain models to predict inventory depletion rates and recommend optimal times to place additional Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Ingest, clean, and analyze complex datasets from ERP systems (Odoo) to provide insights on stock levels, lead times, and fulfillment efficiency.
  • Track and report on core inventory management metrics to prevent stockouts, reduce overstock, and optimize cash flow.
  • Analyze the ROI of promotions, targeted campaigns, and brand initiatives, and help understand customer resonance with messaging.
  • Support new product launches by providing historical data analysis, forecasting demand, and tracking performance metrics.
  • Provide actionable data for audience segmentation, market positioning, and long-term marketing strategy.
  • Analyze data from Customer Service platforms to track contact rates, ticket resolution times, and customer satisfaction (CSAT) scores.
  • Identify customer experience friction points by connecting CS ticket data with fulfillment and inventory metrics.
  • Handle data preparation using tools like KNIME or dbt to clean, merge, and format data for analysis.
  • Write SQL to transform raw data into usable datasets reflecting business rules.
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards in Sigma to visualize complex data for stakeholders.
