About The Position

As a Data Analyst, you actively contribute to various initiatives by analyzing data to solve business problems and providing valuable insights. You understand the insurance business domain and ensure your own tasks contribute to meeting the business objectives by applying appropriate methods and critical thinking and performing analysis. Requirements

  • 1- 3 years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence or other relevant domain.
  • A University Degree in Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Experience solving standard problems by analyzing possible solutions by using our experience, judgment and precedent & challenging status quo.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of data analysis, programing, modeling techniques, data warehouse and data management, research, architecture and design.

  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
  • ACAS or FCAS designations are considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Perform descriptive and diagnostic analysis using recommended methods (ex: regression, cohort analysis, cluster analysis, A/B testing, factor analysis).
  • Design and develop metrics to enable descriptive analysis and diagnostic analysis.
  • Design proof of concept and deliver with guidance a prototype analytical solution to enable effective storytelling and descriptive/diagnostic analysis.
  • Work on Data querying (T-SQL, SQL, MySQL, etc.)
  • Extract, clean, reconcile and prepare the data required for the analysis.
  • Communicate findings to colleagues and your manager in an effective manner.
