This position, reporting to the Analytics Manager, is responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving analysis tools for traffic safety data that provide actionable insights that support decision-making and strategic planning. This role involves working closely with different departments of the Center for Analytics and Research in Transportation Safety (CARTS) and its stakeholders to understand analysis needs, develop reports and dashboards, and use data analysis techniques to inform stakeholder decision making. The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: coding, data collection and analysis, data integration, reporting and dashboards, data visualization, business performance tracking, trend analysis and forecasting, and data documentation and reporting. For the Data Analyst 3 role, this position will be responsible for coordinating and serving as primary contributor for projects focused on the development, implementation, and maintenance of advanced highway safety data applications and processes at the Center for Analytics and Research in Transportation Safety (CARTS). This role will also closely manage the graduate assistants in the analytics department, at the direction of the Analytics Manager.
