The Division of Disease Control, specifically the Bureau of Communicable Diseases and its Disease Investigation Unit, focuses on the surveillance, prevention, and control of infectious diseases. The intern will assist with cleaning, analyzing, and summarizing surveillance data related to Influenza A/H5N1 and other communicable diseases, including tickborne diseases. The role involves case investigation, data collection, patient interviews, data analysis, data management, and fieldwork.
