About The Position
This position requires a strong analytical mindset, expertise in data analysis techniques and tools, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. The role involves extracting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets to generate valuable insights and support data-driven decision-making, enabling business growth and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience (4+ years) as a Data Analyst or Insurance Business Analyst or a similar role, with a focus on analyzing complex data sets and providing actionable insights typically required.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or similar tools.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and modeling techniques, such as regression analysis, time series analysis, clustering, or classification.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and scripting.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and derive practical solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large and complex data sets.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Expertise with insurance industry practices and metrics, in one or more areas (underwriting, claims, agencies, sales, actuarial, financial operations).
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Github, dbtLabs is desired.
- Experience with Data Catalog & Lineage tool is desired.
