About The Position

The Neil Jones Food Company is seeking a Data Administrator at our corporate headquarters in Vancouver, WA. The Neil Jones Food Company processes superior quality, fresh packed, vine-ripened California tomatoes and Pacific Northwest fruit. With headquarters in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation’s discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 35 years. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA. Summary: Provides support to Sales & Marketing by reviewing and maintaining supplier product specifications and attribute data; ensures compliance and accuracy across internal and external platforms for supplier and consumer data. This role is a member of the Supply Chain / Master Data team. This is a non-exempt position.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education, training, or 3-6 years of experience in data management, master date, supply chain or related field.
  • 2-4 years’ administrative experience including working with report writing, preferably in a materials management, operations or group purchasing environment, or the equivalent.
  • 2-4 years’ experience with GS1 (global system of standards) and GDSN preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word; experience working with online data portals preferred; preferably in food processing.
  • Ability to work extended schedule and weekends during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-4 years’ experience with GS1 (global system of standards) and GDSN preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key resource for day to day and moderately complex master data issues, ensuring accuracy and consistency across internal systems, GDSN, and customer platforms.
  • Analyze and resolve recurring or moderately complex data discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Review data quality trends and recurring issues and communicate findings and recommendations to management.
  • Documents tasks and assignments in an efficient, logical manner and provides concise and informative updates.
  • Works with data owners and stakeholders to understand, document and identify opportunities for modifying, automating, and streamlining data management processes.
