About The Position

Our work is looking for a Dashboard Developer to help us support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Dashboard Developer you will be trusted to work with meaningful data, highlighting fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA) detected in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. In this role, a typical day will include: Designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards that provide meaningful insights using Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms Collaborating with data analysts, data scientists as well as managers to collect requirements, understand needs, and convert into visualizations Converting raw data into compelling dashboards that enable efficient decision making Maintaining and updating existing dashboards as needed, and train on how best to interact with them Performing quality checks on visualizations for data accuracy Presenting monthly visualizations at large meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science (or related field of study)
  • 3-5 years of related experience
  • Must have experience and working knowledge of Medicaire/Medicaid
  • Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, Tableau, or Power BI (or similar dashboard platforms)
  • Familiarity with SQL, understanding of data modeling, and experience working with large datasets
  • Ability to create data visualizations to present complex analyses and to illustrate trends
  • Familiarity with R or Python for data science
  • Knowledge of best practices for dashboard design, including accessibility and usability standards
  • Ability to obtain a Public trust and must have lived in the US for 3 of the past 5 years
