This position is responsible for being fluent in all dark meat production work on a rotation basis, including grader, line loader (hangers), scale operator, box maker, batcher, and labeler. The role involves performing these jobs within the dark meat department and participating as a member of the team. This includes contributing to team concepts, programs, and policies, coordinating work for best practices, attending team meetings, and fostering cohesiveness. The technician must understand and support Simmons' operating systems (quality, security, LEAN, etc.) and communicate concerns or improvement ideas. The role also includes performing other duties as necessary to support business objectives.
