About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Dangerous Goods Processor. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe, secure, and accurate filling of customer orders according to Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods handling SOPs and regulations. You will replenish or pick product with direction from pick sheets or hand-held computers, obtaining merchandise from bins or shelves to fill orders. You will also assist the Materials Transport Compliance Specialist in the picking, packing, and shipping of Dangerous Goods. Requirements

• A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in handling and packing hazardous materials in compliance with DOT/IATA/IMDG regulations and internal safety standards.
• Ensure accurate labeling, marking, and documentation for all dangerous goods shipments.
• Inspect products and packaging for damage, leaks, or defects prior to shipment.
• Verify quantities, classifications, and shipping details meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Review SDS and follow proper handling, storage, and shipping guidelines.
• Use WMS systems (e.g., Blue Yonder, JDA, SAP) to process and track orders.
• Maintain basic records and reporting using Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.
• 1 year or more experience in a warehouse setting.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• Prior experience handling/shipping of Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods, preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate checking, inspecting and/or counting of all products for both inbound and outbound departments and ensuring all product is free of damage or defect.
• Handle and pack hazardous materials in compliance with DOT/IATA/IMDG regulations and internal safety standards.
• Ensure accurate labeling, marking, and documentation for all dangerous goods shipments.
• Inspect products and packaging for damage, leaks, or defects prior to shipment.
• Verify quantities, classifications, and shipping details meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Review SDS and follow proper handling, storage, and shipping guidelines.
• Use WMS systems (e.g., Blue Yonder, JDA, SAP) to process and track orders.
• Maintain basic records and reporting using Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
• Pick customer orders or shipment efficiently, ensuring the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
• Picks, packs and processes packages of Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods for shipment.
• Count product inventory by location accurately.
• Transport orders to shipping locations utilizing powered or non-powered material handling equipment.
• Ensure compliance with governmental regulations, customer requirements, quality assurance policies and procedures in the handling of Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods.
• Assist in physical inventories.
• Maintain a clean, neat, orderly, and safe work area.
