AY Dance Student Musician (WS-ST1)
About The Position
Provide musical accompaniment for dance classes. This role involves providing musical leadership to dance students, playing fluently in all keys and time signatures, keeping track of form and phrases for extended lengths of time, improvising alone and leading improvisation within a group, adapting music to the energy, tempo, dynamic, and style of the dancers, and creating new phrases for any dance routine. Candidates must possess musical proficiency, improvisation skill, and adaptability. This position requires repetitive motions and exposure to loud noise. Candidates must be able to safely perform the physical work required with or without reasonable accommodation.
