About The Position

The Dance Instructor will work with the school director to schedule days of the week to teach and engage with children and adults in various forms of dance. Classes are planned to be between 2pm and 8pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Driving Test and clean MVR check (if applicable).
• Criminal background check is required with certification for Protecting the Mission policies and procedures
• Capability to work within a team environment
• Patience and adaptability
• Punctual

Nice To Haves

• AA or BA Degree in Dance

Responsibilities

• Provide classes / lessons for all ages (children and adults)
• Teach lessons using various dance styles and methodologies from beginner to advanced level.
• Develop dance curriculums and prepare lesson plans.
• Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach their goals.
• Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement.
• Choreograph routines and select music for recitals and concerts.
• Conduct group and private lessons as required.
• Preparing students for public recitals
