Dance Instructor- Winter 2027
About The Position
The Round Lake Area Park District is hiring Dance Instructors to join its expanding dance program. Instructors teach dance classes, inspire students, and contribute to a supportive, inclusive community. The program welcomes instructors experienced in at least two dance styles, including ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, modern, ballroom, cultural/world dance, and musical theatre, and is open to new styles and ideas. The role offers opportunities to choreograph and showcase creativity, collaborate with the theatre program on musical choreography and movement coaching, and grow professionally. Evening and/or weekend availability is needed.
Requirements
- Dance and teaching experience in at least two styles.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for varying ages, levels, and learning styles.
- Availability for evening and/or weekend classes.
Nice To Haves
- Previous teaching experience, especially with children and teens.
