About The Position

Class Assistant for Dance 109 and/or 209 – International Dance I and/or 2 movement intensive dance class. The Class Assistant will assist the course instructor by helping to demonstrate course movement material, assisting students during class, helping take attendance, and may run practice sessions outside of the regular class period.

Requirements

• International Dance experience
• Has taken the Dance 109 dance class before
• The ability to demonstrate class material accurately and clearly
• The ability to help students learn movement material during class
• Organizational skills for tracking student attendance
• Leadership and pedagogy skills to run practice sessions
• Interpersonal skills
• The ability to work independently with integrity
• Must have the dance class period free and be able to attend all class meetings
• Must be dependable, responsible, and punctual
