About The Position

The Damage Prevention Manager leads a team of analysts to improve product handling, reduce damage throughout the supply chain, and manage performance measures such as damage reduction and return rate. The role has category and warehouse accountability and calls for leadership, cross-functional project management, and data analysis. The position is part of the Supply and Logistics team, which manages material and stock levels, coordinates deliveries, and tracks the flow of materials and products through the organization.

The role works in person Monday through Friday. Whirlpool offers flexibility to manage personal and outside-of-work commitments, up to two weeks of work from anywhere per year in minimum one-week increments, and four weeks of paid sabbatical after every five years of service.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, operations, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience, with a strong track record of leadership and managing service providers.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in SAP, BEX/BW, Tableau, and WMS systems.
• Ability to lead through influence, organize large bodies of work, and apply continuous improvement and change management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide direction, structure, and support to a team of analysts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including Engineering, Quality, and third-party logistics providers, to reduce product damage.
• Develop and implement process improvements for product handling procedures.
• Analyze data to identify where to focus efforts and drive business decisions.
• Manage performance metrics such as damage reduction and return rate, with category and warehouse accountability.
