About The Position

The Dallas Market President serves as the senior banking officer for Vantage Bank in a market with direct responsibility over the market’s brand image, growth and financial performance. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required.
  • 10+ years of relevant banking experience with a broad banking expertise in both consumer and commercial banking.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to provide leadership using positive supervisory techniques to ensure maximum productivity; demonstrated ability in organization and delegation skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, the Windows environment, and internet research skills.
  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, train personnel, write reports, correspondence and procedures, speak clearly to customers and employees.
  • Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
  • Ability to always maintain a high degree of ethical standards and complete confidentiality.
  • All employees of Vantage Bank must comply with the terms of the BSA Policy upon acceptance of this position.
  • Each employee is responsible to take the required BSA training modules and become familiar with and adhere to the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti Money Laundering and Office of Foreign Asset Control Policy.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing a business plan to ensure that Vantage Bank exceeds key objectives in the key performance areas of loan growth, deposit growth, and overall profitability metrics.
  • Effectively interface with Vantage Bank personnel such as the Chief Credit Officer, investment and mortgage specialists and other key personnel.
  • Representing the bank at various civic and business functions, serving in leadership capacities on civic and non-profit boards.
  • Developing and maintaining key business relationships with local government officials, civic leaders, City Advisory Board members, business leaders, current customers and prospects.
  • Managing the market's staff of employees by recommending staffing levels, selecting and training employees, establishing job responsibilities and performance standards, performance evaluations, administering compensation programs and managing staff performance consistent with bank policy and sound management practices.
  • Supporting and growing the commercial banking business by actively prospecting for new business, hiring and managing senior banking personnel aligning with the Bank culture, approving Treasury and cash management items, leading/participating in the credit structuring, pricing and approval processes and supporting commercial relationship managers.
  • Helping to maintain and foster a thriving corporate culture consistent across all Vantage Bank markets.
  • Supporting other Vantage Bank and group lines-of-business (mortgage, credit cards, etc.) and helping promote new initiatives.
  • Managing expenses by approving budgeted expenditures, regularly evaluating sponsorships/donations, and adjusting where appropriate while promoting fiscal responsibility among the staff.
  • Serving on or leading various task forces as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
