About The Position

The Dairy Supervisor is responsible for leading daily operations of the dairy department, ensuring high standards in product quality, freshness, food safety, and customer service. This role supports sales growth, manages inventory, and develops team performance to achieve operational excellence.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous dairy or grocery experience preferred
Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
Ability to work in cold/refrigerated environments for extended periods

Responsibilities

Oversee stocking, rotation, merchandising, and overall dairy department conditions
Ensure products meet company standards for freshness, code dating, and quality
Maintain full, clean, and visually appealing displays aligned with merchandising plans
Manage ordering and replenishment to meet demand while minimizing shrink
Train, coach, and supervise dairy clerks to improve performance and engagement
Assign daily priorities and ensure completion of all department tasks
Promote a positive team environment focused on accountability and results
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance management
Provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance to customers
Handle customer concerns quickly and professionally
Maintain a clean, organized department that enhances the shopping experience
Ensure accurate receiving and proper storage of all dairy products
Enforce rotation practices (FIFO) to minimize out-of-date product
Monitor shrink and implement corrective actions to improve results
Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
Ensure proper temperature control and monitoring of all dairy cases and storage
Follow company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
