About The Position

The Dairy Associate helps ensure the dairy department maintains product quality, freshness, assortment, and appropriate inventory levels. The role receives, stores, stocks, and rotates dairy products; removes out-of-date items; helps with ordering; and maintains accurate pricing, signage, cleanliness, and sanitation. The associate provides excellent customer service and supports the store’s overall success.

Requirements

Excellent organization and planning skills.
Solid verbal and listening communication skills for effective communication with customers and fellow associates.

Ability to interpret policies and procedures.

Understanding of product rotation.

Ability to maneuver objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
High school diploma or GED, or a combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

Follow established departmental and store policies and procedures.
Ensure the quality and freshness of dairy department products and services.
Maintain the appropriate dairy product assortment and inventory levels.
Confirm pricing accuracy and signage for all products, with particular attention to advertised items.
Clean and sanitize the dairy department daily and maintain company appearance standards.
Deliver excellent customer service.
Receive, store, and stock dairy products, including milk, eggs, juice, yogurt, and butter.
Remove out-of-date products from dairy shelves.
Assist the Dairy Manager with ordering products based on past and projected sales.
Complete assigned tasks efficiently and on time.
Set a professional and positive example for others.
Assist as needed to support the success of the store as a whole.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
