About The Position
The Daily Titan is a student-run media organization established in 1960, dedicated to delivering reliable local news to the CSU, Fullerton community. The Daily Titan Graphic Designer is an integral part of the Daily Titan newspaper, responsible for ensuring branding consistency and assisting with design assets while working under tight deadlines to support the newspaper's storytelling. This role involves creating and designing layouts for print and digital news, assisting staff with graphics and promotional materials, and preparing files for production using Adobe Creative Suite. The Graphic Designer will also assist with mock-up designs of banners and other graphics, collaborate with the marketing team, and attend meetings with advisors and team members. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
- Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
- In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
- Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Strong time management.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Ability to learn and perform assigned work.
- Ability to follow oral instructions.
- Ability to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
- Ability to read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
- Must work independently.
- Ability to learn and perform assigned work using independent judgment.

Responsibilities
