About The Position

The Daily Titan is a student-run media organization established in 1960 that delivers reliable local news to CSUF and the Fullerton community. The organization continues its tradition of providing students with a collaborative learning environment where they can develop professional skills in communications, media, marketing, and business. The Advertising Sales Team connects local and national advertisers with the CSUF community through the Daily Titan's print, digital, social media, and event platforms. Under general supervision, Daily Titan Account Student Assistants support the Advertising Sales team by assisting with client outreach and the advertising solutions. Student will maintain contact with prospective clients via phone, email, and in-person (as needed) meetings. Meet monthly sales outreach activities.

Requirements

• Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
• Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
• In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
• Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
• Ability to interact and communicate professionally with students, staff, and faculty.
• Ability to use independent judgement, critical thinking and analytical skills
• Some customer experience
• Ability to learn and perform assigned work
• Ability to follow oral instructions
• Ability to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels
• Ability to read and write English at a level appropriate to the position
• Ability to learn, communicate, and follow through on commitments
