About The Position

A family in Brooklyn Heights, New York, is seeking a happy, loving and energetic full-time, live-out nanny to care for three children: two boys aged 6 and 4, and a girl aged 18 months. The family will provide a private apartment and sponsor a J1 visa for eligible candidates. The role is scheduled for 30–50 hours per week, with hours changing according to the parents’ work patterns. The family needs someone comfortable with weeks that vary in workload and days that may be long or short. A second nanny also provides help. The boys attend school full-time, while the youngest child is not expected to start school for another two years. The children walk to school, which is approximately 10 minutes from home. After school, they take part in activities and clubs, including fencing, gymnastics, karate, flute and piano. Some activities take place at home and others locally. The family often spends weekends out of town at their upstate home or near the beach. In summer, they spend as much time as possible outside the city. The family is flexible about how the nanny’s summer schedule is arranged, including a rota or spending five days away and returning to the city for weekends. Driving is preferred during time out of the city because the children’s camp is 15 minutes away. The family is intentional about their home life and wants a nanny who shares their outlook, brings their own ideas, and enjoys being part of a loving, cosy family. The family emphasizes care and respect for everyone in the household. Start date is by January 2027. Salary is $100,000, plus a private apartment.
