About The Position

The Daily Buyer will be an integral part of our team of buyers, collaborating to efficiently procure supplies, materials, and equipment essential for our electrical construction field personnel. Responsibilities include soliciting quotations, placing orders, and liaising with the accounting department to manage invoices. Join us in contributing to our fast-paced procurement operations!

Requirements

5-7 years of experience as a purchaser in the electrical construction industry preferred.
Knowledge of electrical construction suppliers, manufacturers, and products necessary.
Exceptional organizational proficiency, effectively able to multitask and frequently adjust priorities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office including but not limited to Excel, as well as Adobe, and Bluebeam.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven negotiation skills.
Proficient oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Soliciting quotations from suppliers and conducting online searches for specialty items.
Daily placement of orders, identification of essential materials for projects, proactive sourcing from reputable suppliers, diligent tracking of back orders, and providing thorough follow-up on material deliveries.
Collaborate with our Project Management teams and field personnel to devise optimal solutions, ensuring the punctual arrival and coordination of material deliveries, tooling, and rental equipment to maintain productivity and adhere to the project schedule.
Work with the on-site VMI service provider and field supervisors to keep vendor managed inventories at the proper levels and types in order to maximize field productivity.
Provide periodic updates to Project Controls regarding project budgets and pending commitments.
Collaborate with the accounting department to manage project clean-up and close-out functions, actively assisting in the clearance of invoices and facilitating the efficient processing of returns.
