Job Purposes Implement and sustain cloud data platforms and industrial data solutions end‑to‑end, covering deployment, configuration, and ongoing operations while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to meet customer outcomes and SLAs. Contribute to service excellence by participating in ticket escalations and periodic reporting when required, maintaining a high standard of customer communication and professionalism. Execute internal design, system build, and testing in support of solution road map; deploy solutions and produce pre/post‑implementation documentation.

• Familiarity with time-series data management.
• Knowledge of industrial protocols and data historians; (e.g., OPC DA/UA, MQTT, Modbus, COM/DCOM).

Nice To Haves

• Experience with OSIsoft/AVEVA PI System a plus.
• Programming skills across various languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and architectures a plus.
• Experience providing training to small groups a plus.
• Understanding of energy‑sector operations, particularly within oil & gas, refining, and petrochemical environments a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support collection of business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, and workflow analysis, to express requirements clearly and succinctly.
• Research and suggest technical developments to prove the quality of the used technology, such as systems, processes, infrastructure, installations, and machines.
• Design distribution of basic database resources and provide physical modeling and design services to tune database applications for optimum performance.
• Provide information and comments on suitability during the approval process for database specifications to ensure all agreed standards and protocols are followed and data integrity is preserved.
• Implement required security measures, such as firewalls or message encryption, monitoring performance to notify security experts of any problems.
• Support and contribute to the documentation of "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required.
• Perform website/applications software tests and respond to user emails to monitor, diagnose, and correct performance issues.
• Create and maintain technical and/or user documentation to a high standard, and back up files to ensure instant recovery if problems occur.
• Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
