DA/ETO System Architect

Eaton CorporationRaleigh, NC
Hybrid

About The Position

Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a DA/ETO System Architect. This position can be based in Beachwood, OH Moon Township, PA or Raleigh, NC with hybrid work available. This position is responsible for defining and communicating a shared architectural vision for a highly integrated engineering automation ecosystem, enabling the organization to support current and future ETO business needs at scale. The role focuses on Design Automation (DA), Engineer‑to‑Order (ETO) platforms, and deep integration with EPLAN and related engineering tools, spanning multiple applications, services, and data layers. The System Architect plays a critical role in shaping Eaton’s digital engineering and automation landscape, ensuring scalable, performant, and secure automation of engineering workflows—from configuration and calculations through electrical schematics, drawings, and downstream manufacturing and business systems. They will collaborate closely with Agile product and delivery teams to evaluate solution options, validate architectural assumptions, assess technology tradeoffs, and converge on robust designs. This includes addressing complex challenges related to system integrations, cloud and on‑prem coexistence, data flow orchestration, identity and access management, and secure access for internal users, partners, and engineering teams interacting with DA/ETO systems. Finally, the System Architect will work in close partnership with Enterprise and Solution Architects to ensure solutions align with Eaton’s broader architecture guardrails, cloud strategy, and security standards, while enabling long‑term scalability, maintainability, and innovation across the DA and ETO platform portfolio.
