About The Position

Avanade Inc. seeks D365 Senior Supply Chain & Manufacturing Functional Consultants in Chicago, IL to be part of Avanade’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) team. As part of this team, you will: collect information, analyze requirements, solve business process problems, and provide technical and operational support to Avanade’s clients who are implementing Microsoft’s Dynamics 365 ERP system (D365 F&O); lead the D365 F&O Manufacturing workstream in our clients’ ERP implementations; match business processes to application requirements, transform business requirements into an implementation model and document D365 F&O configurations in an application model; lead the prototyping and configuration of the applicable processes within D365 F&O to ensure that the ERP system works with respect to our clients’ needs; lead workshops with our clients, consultants, and client leaders to analyze and design solutions and handle gaps in D365 F&O detected during prototyping; work with the Avanade ERP technical team to help design, develop, and test custom solutions that have been approved by our clients to address specific gaps within D365 F&O and in third party applications and services; lead the creation or refinement of our clients’ business process hierarchies within their business process models so that functional and non-functional requirements are identified and linked; document settings in D365 F&O and prepare our clients to use their ERP system; and support our clients with the testing, acceptance and deployment of their ERP system into day-to-day operational use. Periodic travel to client sites (domestic and international) is expected up to 80% of the time. Must live within reasonable commuting distance to Chicago, IL.

Requirements

At least a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field
At least five (5) years of experience utilizing D365 F&O in a technology or IT consulting environment
5 years of experience implementing D365 F&O (or Dynamics AX), with a focus on manufacturing and supply chain modules
3 years of experience managing Application Lifecycle Management using Azure DevOps and/or Team Foundation Services
4 years of experience leading manufacturing and supply chain workstreams, including ownership of related business processes and presales solution design
4 years of experience designing and demonstrating functional components and scenario flows in D365 aligned to client requirements
3 years of experience conducting solution design workshops with clients and stakeholders, including gap analysis and prototyping
3 years of experience estimating functional workstreams and advising delivery teams during solution design phases
3 years of domain expertise in ERP manufacturing, covering end-to-end supply chain processes within D365
