About The Position

Intek Plastics is hiring a D Operator to set up and operate extrusion equipment used to produce custom plastic extrusions. The role involves starting machines, configuring production parameters, checking product quality, recording production information, performing changeovers, and cleaning equipment between production cycles. No prior experience is required; the company provides a paid, two-week Intek Operator Training Course. This is a second-shift position in a hands-on, active work environment.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Set up and operate extrusion equipment, including extruders, co-extruders, heater bands, and dies.
Start machines and set parameters to produce high-quality products.
Read and understand prints, dimensions, and packaging specifications.
Monitor and measure product quality and record data in SPC and LCS systems.
Perform changeovers and adjust lengths and angles during production runs.
Tear down and clean equipment for the next production cycle.
Track production data and footage.
