About The Position

The D/F Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating a finishing range according to specifications, monitoring and inspecting fabric for quality, doffing and packing finished product, and operating a lift truck. This role also involves changing coating blades, calibrating settings, taking product samples, and performing daily and weekly team maintenance duties. The operator must adhere to all specifications and environmental guidelines concerning chemical usage.

Responsibilities

Successfully complete and perform all requirements of Operator levels.
Follow Range Start-Up Procedure in Production Finishing Manual.
Process designated rolls on Lot Sheet and document on Tenter Production Report.
Complete all required paperwork correctly and effectively.
Complete audits as required with appropriate follow-up.
Inspect rolls according to Range Grading Specification and document on Inspection Report.
Pack out rolls according to Process Specification.
Carry headers to lab as specified on Process Specification.
Follow Range Style Change and Range Shut-Down Procedure as required by schedule.
Perform preventive maintenance duties as outlined in Range PM Procedure.
Perform daily housekeeping.
Attend team meetings.
Participate as leader in plant activities (i.e. OFI, MQSP, M.O.C.).
Understand the environmental impacts and aspects of job related activities. Follow established Valway and Milliken & Company guidelines concerning use of all chemicals. Comply with all Environmental regulations and Milliken Environmental Policies and Rules.
Perform any other duties assigned by Production Manager or Senior Production Manager as necessary.
