About The Position

Merakey is seeking a Drug and Alcohol Therapist to join their team in Philadelphia, PA. This role is full-time, Monday - Friday 7a - 3:30p. The therapist will utilize strong clinical skills to facilitate group and individual therapy, assess individuals and recommend appropriate services, educate and encourage resistant individuals, and manage a caseload with knowledge of treatment progress and needs. This includes strong clinical documentation skills to maintain individual charts meeting all required standards.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, psychology, addictions studies, social work or related field with specialty or concentration in counseling.
• Actively working towards a Professional License (i.e., LPC, LSW, LCSW, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist), OR Actively working towards a credential through PCB (i.e., CAAC, CADC, CAADC, CCS), or be actively working toward licensure or certification.
• Licensure or certification will need to be achieved within two to three (2 - 3) years of hire, depending on requirements.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group and individual therapy based on identified topics as well as open topics.
• Assess individuals and recommend appropriate services based on clinical need, ability and willingness to participate, and stage of change.
• Educate and encourage resistant individuals to participate in therapy services.
• Manage a caseload of individuals, maintaining knowledge of their treatment progress, engagement level, and treatment needs.
• Maintain strong clinical documentation skills and ensure individual charts meet program, local, state, and federal documentation requirements and standards.
