About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is adding a Cytotechnologist to our Pathology team. As a Cytotechnologist, you will be responsible for the screening and reporting of negative gynecological cytology cases and identifying and referring abnormal cases to the pathologist. You are also responsible for the screening of non-gynecological specimens for the identification of abnormalities prior to the pathologist examination of the specimen.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology from an accredited school of cytotechnology OR certified by a certification agency approved by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
  • American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Cytotechnologist Certification
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues

Responsibilities

  • Screening and reporting of negative gynecological cytology cases
  • Identifying and referring abnormal cases to the pathologist
