About The Position

UToledo Health and the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences seek a full-time, tenure-track academic anatomic/clinical pathologist and cytopathologist. UTMC is a tertiary care center supporting the College of Medicine’s medical student, graduate student, and resident programs. The Department of Pathology also trains AP/CP residents, pathologists’ assistants, and laboratory technicians.

The role combines clinical service, teaching, and scholarly activity. The successful candidate will collaborate with other anatomic pathologists on clinical responsibilities at UTMC, teach residents and medical students, and pursue independent or collaborative research with the expectation of developing a strong publication record. Services are provided Monday through Friday, with call every sixth weekend.

Requirements

• M.D. or equivalent degree.
• AP/CP board certification.
• Successful completion of a cytopathology fellowship and board certification.
• Eligibility for licensure in Ohio.
• Evidence of excellence in teaching.
• Evidence of significant scholarly activity.
• At least 1 year of experience in Pathology/Cytopathology.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other anatomic pathologists in providing clinical services at UTMC.
• Teach residents and medical students.
• Pursue independent or collaborative research and develop a strong publication record.
• Provide services Monday through Friday and participate in call every sixth weekend.
