About The Position

The Cylinder Maintenance Technician will assist in the rehabilitation and repair of Liquid Cylinder tanks (both industrial and beverage) at the company’s Whites Creek facility. The technician will be responsible for performing regularly scheduled repairs, rehab, and upgrades of Liquid Cylinders. This role involves properly receiving and inspecting cylinders, removing old signage, performing Normal Evaporative Rate (NER) testing, polishing tanks, and installing new decals to prepare for shipping. We are looking for someone who can follow procedures from company LCR rehab manuals and other instructions. In this position, the technician will also maintain liquid cylinders and perform associated warehouse, forklift, and inventory tasks.

Requirements

Must be able to read and write in English.

Proficient math skills and the ability to calculate units of measure.
Ability to manage your workflow effectively and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Availability for occasional overtime, if necessary.
Comfortable working outdoors in a wide range of temperatures.
Ability to operate a forklift and maintain appropriate certifications.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret safety instructions, technical procedures, or governmental regulations (MSDS).
Proactively contributes to problem-solving and troubleshooting with results.
Operate in a drug-free workplace.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma, or equivalent (GED).
Basic computer skills or willing to take classes to learn those skills.
Able to understand piping and tank detail from manuals and mechanical drawings.
Experience with cryogenic gases and systems, high pressure piping/tubing work a plus.
Experience in the HVAC or plumbing industry with hands on welding/brazing skill a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform regularly scheduled repairs, rehab, and upgrades of Liquid Cylinders.

Comply with all Company and industry safety policies, including the full-time use of Personal Protective Equipment and prompt reporting of any accidents.
Manage workflow effectively and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
Use hand tools (electrical and manual) in a safe manner.
Operate a forklift and maintain appropriate certifications.
Read, analyze, and interpret safety instructions, technical procedures, or governmental regulations (MSDS).
Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly plant appearance, including general facility housekeeping.
Learn and apply “Great Customer Service” techniques for both internal and external customers.
Service, inspect, and maintain shop tools and inventory required to perform service.
Identify and communicate problems to supervisors and submit inspection reports in a timely manner.
Attend company safety meetings and possess a genuine commitment to safety.
Support the LCR team in other rehab stations as needed.
