About The Position

Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division is seeking a Cleaning II position at their Corinth, MS facility. This role involves loading/unloading parts, operating cleaning machinery, and performing operator-performed maintenance (OPM). The work environment is fast-paced, safety and quality focused. The position requires the ability to interpret blueprints, understand torque requirements, and utilize various tools and equipment. Cross-training in other positions up to Salary Grade 3 may be required. Operators will adhere to Built in Safety guidelines, demonstrate attention to detail, be self-motivated, and work in a team environment without close supervision. Requirements

  • Basic computer experience (ability to read standard work documents and enter data)
  • Ability to read/write and interpret documents
  • Knowledge of engines and components
  • Experience with basic tooling (hand tools, air tools, pneumatic tools, etc.)
  • Ability to stand for up to 10+ hours per shift
  • Ability to lift/push/pull heavy parts up to 30 lbs. multiple times per shift
  • Ability to walk, squat, and bend for intervals of 15-30 minutes
  • Must be able to wear proper PPE
  • Must pass background screening
  • Must pass drug and alcohol screening
  • Must pass post-offer medical questionnaire

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel
  • Prior use of hoists
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Load/unload parts
  • Operate cleaning machinery
  • Perform required OPM (operator performed maintenance)
  • Clean and detail engine components
  • Use an overhead hoist to move large components
  • Load and unload parts from washer
  • Perform material handling according to production schedules
  • Identify parts and select appropriate programming for operations
  • Interpret blueprints
  • Perform wash, clean, or blast operations
  • Understand torque requirements and processes
  • Operate hand tools, cordless tools, gauges, vibration tools
  • Utilize heavy equipment, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, overhead cranes, and/or electric pallet jack to move parts
  • Wear a respirator suit to clean engines and components
  • Perform order filling, processing, storing/picking of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Operate automated packaging equipment
  • Check incoming material and enter data
  • Cross train in other positions up to and including Salary Grade 3
  • Utilize various computer systems including email
  • Adhere to Built in Safety guidelines
  • Work in a team environment
  • Cross train in other areas of operations to provide flexibility
  • Work in an environment without close supervision
