About The Position

This position is responsible for loading and unloading cylinders on vehicles, shipping and receiving of cylinders, cylinder staging, and limited customer service. It includes moving cylinders to other designated destinations along with ensuring the accuracy and safety of the product. The role reports to the Site or Operations Manager/Supervisor and interacts with customers, sales, management, and other operations personnel.

Requirements

Ability to transport vehicles (including but not limited to) trucks, tractors, forklift, and cylinder carts requiring different dock locations when loading or unloading trucks or tractors.
Ability to handle cylinders both manually and with the use of dollies, carts, and forklifts.
Ability to check identification, labels, valves, styles, to see if cylinder needs filled or should remain empty, to see if cylinder needs painted or has any marks.
Ability to secure all cylinders or material by checking strapping, location of cylinder in vehicle, that the correct cylinders are loaded, checking that all cylinders have been checked and have proper tags.
Ability to follow all safety procedures and policies to ensure the safety of any equipment, containers, or materials.
Ability to perform housekeeping duties for both safety and appearance purposes.
Ability to adhere to all quality assurance policies and standards.
Ability to notify supervisor of quality assurance problems.
Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
Ability to comply with all policies and standards.

Responsibilities

Loading and unloading cylinders on assigned trucks or tractors or other designated areas, including checking identification, labels, valves, and styles to determine if a cylinder needs filling, should remain empty, needs painting, or has marks.
Following required procedures to ensure safe storage of all cylinder products.
Ensuring all loads are secure for deliveries by checking strapping, cylinder location in the vehicle, and verifying correct cylinders are loaded with proper tags.
Following all safety procedures and policies to ensure the safety of any equipment, containers, or materials.
Material handling of cylinders both manually and with the use of dollies, carts, and forklifts.
Transporting vehicles, including trucks, tractors, forklifts, and cylinder carts, to different dock locations when loading or unloading trucks or tractors.
Performing housekeeping duties for both safety and appearance purposes.
Adhering to all quality assurance policies and standards.
Notifying supervisor of quality assurance problems.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Complying with all policies and standards.
