About The Position

This position is responsible for loading and unloading cylinders on vehicles, shipping and receiving of cylinders, cylinder staging and limited customer service. It includes moving cylinders to other designated destinations along with ensuring the accuracy and safety of the product. The role reports to the Site or Operations Manager/Supervisor and interacts with customers, sales, management, and other operations personnel.

Ability to load and unload cylinders on vehicles.
Ability to handle shipping and receiving of cylinders.

Ability to move cylinders to other designated destinations.
Ability to ensure accuracy and safety of the product.
Ability to check identification, labels, valves, and styles of cylinders.
Ability to secure all loads before deliveries.
Ability to check strapping, location of cylinder in vehicle, and correct cylinders loaded.
Ability to check that all cylinders have proper tags.
Ability to follow all safety procedures and policies.
Ability to perform material handling of cylinders manually and with dollies, carts, and forklifts.
Ability to transport vehicles including trucks, tractors, forklift, and cylinder carts.
Ability to perform housekeeping duties.
Ability to adhere to all quality assurance policies and standards.
Ability to notify supervisor of quality assurance problems.
Ability to perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Loading and unloading cylinders on assigned trucks or tractors or other designated areas, including checking identification, labels, valves, and styles to determine if a cylinder needs filling or should remain empty, or if it needs painting or has marks. Following required procedures for safe storage of all cylinder products.
Ensuring all loads are secure before deliveries, which includes securing all cylinders or material by checking strapping, location of cylinders in the vehicle, and verifying correct cylinders are loaded and have proper tags. Following all safety procedures and policies to ensure the safety of equipment, containers, or materials.
Material handling of cylinders both manually and with the use of dollies, carts, and forklifts.
Transporting vehicles, including trucks, tractors, forklifts, and cylinder carts to different dock locations when loading or unloading trucks or tractors. Following all safety procedures and policies.
Performing housekeeping duties for both safety and appearance purposes.
Adhering to all quality assurance policies and standards.
Notifying supervisor of quality assurance problems.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Complying with all policies and standards.
