About The Position

This position is responsible for loading and unloading cylinders on vehicles, shipping and receiving of cylinders, cylinder staging and limited customer service. It includes moving cylinders to other designated destinations along with ensuring the accuracy and safety of the product. The role reports to the Site or Operations Manager/Supervisor and interacts with customers, sales, management, and other operations personnel.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading cylinders on assigned trucks or tractors or other designated areas, including checking identification, labels, valves, styles, and cylinder condition (needs filled, empty, painted, or marked).
• Ensuring safe storage of all cylinder products according to required procedures.
• Making sure all loads are secure for deliveries by checking strapping, cylinder location in the vehicle, and ensuring correct cylinders are loaded with proper tags.
• Following all safety procedures and policies to ensure the safety of equipment, containers, or materials.
• Material handling of cylinders both manually and using dollies, carts, and forklifts.
• Transporting vehicles, including trucks, tractors, forklifts, and cylinder carts, to different dock locations for loading or unloading.
• Performing housekeeping duties for safety and appearance.
• Adhering to all quality assurance policies and standards.
• Notifying supervisor of quality assurance problems.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
• Complying with all policies and standards.
