Cylinder Attendant
About The Position
Great Southern Wood Preserving, Incorporated is seeking a Cylinder Attendant. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and a full benefit package. The Cylinder Attendant assists Treating Engineers by preparing lumber to be treated, changing out charges, performing quality control, and other duties as assigned. Responsibilities include operating the transfer deck using controls, boring material samples with a drill, and preparing lumber for treatment using a banding tool and tag gun. The attendant monitors trams and cylinder production to ensure efficient material flow and performs housekeeping and clean-up around the cylinder and tram area. They also assist in picking up lumber and materials due to spills as requested by a Supervisor and aid in month-end inventory activities.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Lumber experience a plus!
Responsibilities
