About The Position

The Cycle Counter is responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified to be reflective of reported inventory. Duties also include miscellaneous stores/stockroom activities to maintain inventory accuracy through proper processing of material receipts, transfers, and issues.

Requirements

1-3 years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
General knowledge of standard warehouse practices and procedures along with inventory control software.
Must use professional oral and written communications skills.
Produce work independently, accurately and in a timely manner.
Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of SAP a plus

Responsibilities

Completing physical inventories and cycle counts.
Investigating and reconciling all variances in counts in a timely manner.
Generating cycle count reports and reporting numbers to management.
Communicating and developing process enhancements as needed (performs root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommends process improvements to eliminate them).
Coordinating and integrating efforts across operational departments to enhance inventory accuracy.
Working with controllers and outside auditors on audits.
Using computers (including handheld units) to process paperwork in SAP and Microsoft Office.
Lifting items up to 50 lbs.
Certified in the use of equipment to assist in the movement of product (overhead cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
