About The Position

Hydraulics International, Inc. (HII) is seeking Cycle Count Clerks to join our manufacturing team. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory records by performing routine cycle counts, researching inventory discrepancies, and ensuring materials are properly identified, stored, and recorded in the inventory system. The position works closely with Warehouse, Receiving, Shipping, Purchasing, and Production teams to support inventory accuracy and efficient material flow.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous warehouse, inventory control, cycle counting, receiving, or material-handling experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
  • Ability to accurately count, record, and reconcile inventory.
  • Basic computer skills and experience using inventory or ERP systems preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic data entry preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to investigate discrepancies and follow issues through to resolution.
  • Ability to read part numbers, labels, purchase orders, and inventory documentation.
  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees across multiple departments.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, crouch, and climb as necessary to access inventory locations.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work in warehouse and manufacturing environments with varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Ability to safely use ladders, pallet jacks, carts, and other material-handling equipment as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, weekly, and scheduled cycle counts of raw materials, components, finished goods, and other inventory.
  • Compare physical inventory counts to quantities recorded in the inventory management/ERP system.
  • Research and investigate inventory discrepancies and report findings to management.
  • Make inventory adjustments as authorized and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, locations, and labeling during inventory counts.
  • Assist with identifying misplaced, damaged, obsolete, or incorrectly labeled materials.
  • Maintain organized and accurate inventory locations.
  • Work with Warehouse, Receiving, Shipping, Purchasing, and Production personnel to resolve inventory issues.
  • Assist with physical inventory counts and inventory audits as required.
  • Enter inventory transactions and count results accurately and promptly into the computer system.
  • Review inventory reports and identify recurring discrepancies or potential process issues.
  • Follow established inventory control procedures and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Operate material-handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts, when trained and authorized.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
