About The Position

Joining Gray Link Technologies LLC as a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer III on an Enterprise Zero Trust Program for a DoD client, your responsibilities will include organizing computer security architecture and developing detailed Zero Trust cybersecurity designs. You will review, develop, and implement security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and information. This role involves conducting risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities. You will also respond to complex system and network security incidents, investigate and resolve vulnerabilities, and evaluate systems and networks for security concerns and areas for improvement. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of Zero Trust security tools and infrastructure, provide technical support and mentoring to junior team members, interface with vendors to research and implement new security technologies, establish security operations processes, procedures, and standards, and stay up to date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities. Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in areas such as system integration, security analysis, and security design reviews within a Zero Trust environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to analyze complex security issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities in accordance with mission requirements and operational needs.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineers, developers, and other stakeholders in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow security procedures and processes.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving security landscapes, emerging threats, and new technologies.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Current Secret clearance.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification with an approved Computing Environment (CE) certification and a higher-level cybersecurity certification (e.g., CySA+, CISSP, CEH, or equivalent).
  • Experience working in organizations that handle sensitive data or operate in mission-critical environments.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and integrating large-scale Zero Trust solutions.
  • Understanding of security principles associated with Zero Trust Network Architecture and the tools required to implement it.
  • Experience implementing systems that align with multiple Zero Trust pillars.
  • Familiarity with automation technologies, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Strong automation mindset with experience in at least one scripting language or automation tool, such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, PowerCLI, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Experience with common cybersecurity platforms such as Trellix, ForeScout, Tanium, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE), and similar technologies.
  • Experience with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems), firewalls, DLP (Data Loss Prevention), and other enterprise security solutions.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity concepts, best practices, and industry standards, including NIST and ISO 27001.
  • Understanding of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and network security architecture.
  • Knowledge of operating systems, hardware, and software security, including vulnerabilities, hardening techniques, and secure coding practices.
  • Ability to identify and assess vulnerabilities in systems and applications, as well as perform penetration testing activities.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automating security tasks and developing custom security tools.
  • Ability to analyze logs and other security-related data to identify threats, vulnerabilities, and security incidents.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in DoD STIG/RMF environments and familiarity with the DoD Authorization to Operate (ATO) process.
  • Experience participating in vendor evaluation and selection processes to meet customer and mission requirements.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, cloud security best practices, and cloud security controls, including platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and practical experience.
