About The Position

We are seeking a Cybersecurity SME - Lead. This role involves providing expert support, research, and analysis of exceptionally complex problems and processes related to cybersecurity. The individual will serve as a technical expert to the Cybersecurity Assessment Program, offering technical direction, interpretation, and solutions to complex issues. This position also contributes to the development of new principles, concepts, and methodologies in cybersecurity, working on unusually complex technical problems and providing innovative solutions. The role includes recommending cybersecurity software tools, assisting in the development of software tool requirements and selection criteria, and developing product-specific STIGs from applicable DISA SRGs. The position operates under consultative direction towards predetermined long-range goals, with assignments often being self-initiated. The individual will determine and pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results and develop advanced technological ideas, guiding their development into a final product.

Requirements

  • Seven years IT experience.
  • Five Years Information Assurance experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working independently, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive hands-on experience applying advanced technical concepts and methodologies to mission-critical work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for resolving security issues.
  • Hands-on experience performing cybersecurity evaluations, risk analysis, and compliance assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of RMF.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Department of Defense security regulations, DISA STIGs.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts within federal environments. This includes the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Civil agencies, and military organizations.
  • DoD 8570 IAM Level III Baseline Certification
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC)
  • Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO)
  • Secret - IT-II (Tier 3) Clearance
  • U.S. Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting the same or similar contract, with an in-depth understanding of the customer environment, requirements, and operational landscape, is highly desirable.
