About The Position

REDLattice is seeking motivated and innovative college students to join our Cybersecurity Internship (Offensive Cyber Operations & Mobile Vulnerability Research) for the summer of 2027. As a member of our Cyber Internship program, your work will directly support real customer requirements and mission impact, from day one. Over the summer, you’ll contribute to the development of modern Computer Network Operations (CNO) tools and capabilities, helping create new access to today’s most advanced mobile devices. You’ll go deep into the cutting edge of device instrumentation, exploit mitigations, and modern research methodologies, tackling some of the hardest reverse engineering targets in the field. Along the way, you’ll be guided and mentored by leading researchers who will help shape the direction of your work and ensure you leave feeling challenged, supported, and fulfilled.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous coursework and/or experience in reverse engineering with modern tools (Ghidra, Binary ninja, gdb, etc.)
  • Strong work ethic, eager to learn, and a positive attitude.
  • Must be eligible to receive US Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Rising junior or senior preferred.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and Assembly languages.
  • Familiarity with Git and modern software engineering practices.
  • Basic knowledge of mobile security, embedded systems, and network protocols is a plus.
  • A passion for learning about cutting-edge offensive cyber techniques and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Solve challenging security problems through vulnerability research and software development.
  • Conduct reverse engineering, vulnerability analysis, and exploit development for mobile and embedded systems.
  • Collaborate in small teams or independently to develop offensive cybersecurity tools and methodologies.
  • Low-level system and operating system development and research.
  • Support and enhance existing codebases and contribute to the development of new projects.
