About The Position

GitGuardian is seeking a Cybersecurity Influencer to manage its online presence across communities, social channels, and YouTube. This role involves transforming existing expertise into engaging content that builds trust and generates demand. The influencer will report to the Head of Brand and Content and will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive YouTube strategy, managing social media presence, and actively engaging with security and developer communities. The goal is to create consistent, high-signal content that captures attention and drives inbound interest.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Hybrid skillset strong in Developer Relations, Product Marketing, and Social/Video Creator playbooks.
  • Proven track record of consistently shipping video content.
  • Strong editorial judgment to turn complex security topics into engaging content for developers.
  • Comfortable with metrics and analytics.
  • High agency and ability to start hands-on, then scale systems and teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the cybersecurity or developer tooling space.
  • Comfort being a GitGuardian brand voice and face.
  • Background managing content creators, agencies, or freelance talent.
  • Experience with community platforms (Discord, Slack, Reddit, Dev.to, Hacker News).
  • Familiarity with GitHub, open-source communities, or DevSecOps workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Build and run the YouTube strategy from the ground up, including format portfolio, publishing cadence, series concepts, creative direction, on-camera/producer leadership, editing workflow, and distribution.
  • Transform existing assets (blogs, reports, webinars, conference talks, documentation) into short-form clips, explainers, demos, and community-ready snippets.
  • Manage the social media presence with a clear voice and measurable goals, including owning the editorial calendar, channel strategy, creator collaborations, amplification loops, and community interaction.
  • Actively engage with security/developer communities, open-source spaces, and online events to cultivate relationships and create feedback loops into marketing and product.
  • Partner with the CMO and senior leadership to translate positioning into repeatable programs.
  • Build the operating system for content creation: editorial plan, production pipeline, KPI dashboard, and a repeatable content supply chain.
  • Run experiments across various content formats (shorts, deep dives, podcasts/interviews, tutorials, reaction/analysis, product walkthroughs) and optimize based on performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Marketing, DevRel/Advocacy, Brand, Sales, and Product teams.
  • Build a team over time, including freelancers, agencies, internal creators, and guest experts, to scale content output.
